Steve started cutting meat at 10 years old, standing on a milk crate in his grandpa's shed. He worked with his grandpa Chuck through the years, which built the foundation of his butchering skills and knowledge. In 2004 he started his own wild game processing business. Schneider Wild Game operated out of "the meat room" in his grandpa's shed in Hinckley, MN from 2004-2013. In the fall of 2014 Schneider Custom Meats opened in its current location in Askov, MN. The facility is MN State Inspected for processing both wild and domestic custom meats. Schneider Custom Meats offers slaughtering at the facility or On Farm slaughtering. We also partner with local farmers who source pork and beef, available to purchase by the quarter, half, or whole. This service allows customers access to great locally raised meat and directly connects the farmers and the consumers. Meat processing has long been a family affair for the Schneider's. Now Steve, along with his wife Kelly and their 5 daughters, continue this tradition.
